She’ll be fighting in the rings this week.” This was a great fantasy sequel to Fantasy of Frost, and Lina continued to be a strong female lead. Well, Olina was one heck of a kick-ass chick in this book! After the events of Book 1, she managed to not only look after herself, even though she was a very strange place and completely cut off from all that she had ever know, but she also managed to become a top fighter, and best men twice her size! Go Olina! There is seriously no stopping this girl once she knows what she wants, and if you get in her way – look out! “Shard shoots me an amused glace. He is the only one I couldn’t beat.” The storyline in this was good, although I did despair of the situations that Olina got herself into at times! This poor girl was constantly out of the fire and into the frying pan, and even when it looked like things might finally be looking up, she was in trouble again! “I’m half standing when I remember he can’t possibly recognise me.” There was a touch of romance in this, and it was surprising, but good! I don’t want to say too much, but I was so upset for Olina after when happened with Kendrick in Fantasy of Frost, and I really want her to have a chance to be happy! “His kiss is firm, but his lips are devastatingly soft. It’s the direct opposite of Sin’s kiss. And then the tingles start. The ones I’ve only felt a couple of times before.” The ending to this once again left me desperate for the next instalment! Well done Kelly for another fabulous fantasy adventure! 8 out of 10

Full Review This book is just filled with too many characters and pointless ‘adventures’ First of all, we have the MC in a new situation with entirely new people. There was a long ass plot that didn't seem related to the plot of the first book and I just kept waiting for it to correlate with the first book (it never did). The MC's main goal was to try and solve a mystery that was introduced in the first book but she got side tracked. The ship- I mentioned in my review of the first book that I really shipped two people. Well this book made me change my mind. Homegirl was always running away from the guy (as some type of angst) and I was so annoyed and over them! Just when I thought there would be no more new people, MORE characters get introduced!!! I swear there are like 50 characters in this series and this is just the second book. There were alot of fight scenes in this book which would have been interesting if they were complicated or unpredictable but the MC kept winning her fights because she's the best fighter in the whole world!! so reading about how 'good' she was got old. Why 2 stars instead of 1? I liked the beginning of the book when I had hope but it went downhill. I was mostly interested because I wanted to see the big mystery solved but it doesn't get solved until the last book! (I spoiled it for myself because I didn't want to continue the series) and I wasn't even impressed!

I'm just going to go ahead and give it 5 stars. Hell, I'll probably go ahead and give the whole series 5 stars. This book seems like a totally different story. It takes a weird turn and doesn't look back. Again, there are things you just have to concede and go with, but the story never drags and it kept me entertained. Many, many times I asked myself, or rather Olina, "Whhhy???" But then she'll acknowledge her behavior for what it is and that's enough to mollify me. What can I say? I can't explain how mad I am at this book because is as if everything that happened in book one didn't matter at all. I'm mad because I could see the potential of the story, of the slow burn romance, of the characters, but the way everything was happening just made me angry. I won't read the rest of the series because I don't want to be disappointed again.

Fantasy of Flight is the second instalment in Olina's tale. It contains action and adventure, romance (more than the first), a complex story line, and a fantasy/sci-fi setting. If you can't stand cliffhangers, then I wouldn't recommend this book for you because I have been a cruel biarch at the end :) There's a bit of swearing too. It's hard to explain without giving things away, but the swearing is in context with the world-building. *I received a copy of this novel from the author in exchange for an honest review.* I really enjoyed this novel. There were some problems I had with it that kept me from giving it a higher rating. Actual rating: 4.5 glittering stars Dear author, Stop it with these cliffhangers, pleaseeee! Omg I can't even tell you how amazing this book was. The world-building, the story, the characters. I also absolutely loved her Frost persona, and I really hope to see more of that badass awesomeness. The side characters, too, were all so lovable that I cannot decide who my favorite was. Can I just bundle them all up as a Christmas gift? In my review of the first book I mentioned needing a bit more action to make the book more enjoyable, and man, did we get all the action in this book. This was exactly what I was looking for and I couldn't be happier with Fantasy of Flight as a sequel. I also feel like I should mention the awesome world-building again. How amazing to come up with such fresh ideas and to sell them so smoothly that I forget it's fiction. This book is a great guide on how not to info-dump your readers. Similarly, I was very pleased with how the romance started and took shape during the books. It wasn't rushed, or cheesy, or stupid and illogical. It also wasn't all about how hot he was and how she couldn't take her eyes off of him! I have been shipping these two characters so hard since their first interaction and I am so happy my ship finally worked out as I planned. This never happens people! I never get what I want out of love. This is a miracle. There were also other hot guys around with no cliche love triangle or unnecessary drama. How rare is that????!!!!! Also I now need a Jovan of my own. Or more characters like him. Any suggestions? Overall, I am so happy with this sequel and can't wait to read the third book. I have even higher expectations for this one.

Her veil has been destroyed and the only way she can ever return to her position as Tatuma is to find the material to replace her veil. If she cannot do so, she'll be stuck in the pits as her 'Frost' persona forever. But maybe that wouldn't really be so bad? I liked this one even more than the first book! So good I got halfway through and bought the rest of the series and the novella. This book is where we really get to see Olina as a badass. We already knew she could fight, but the pit fights take that to a whole new level. And the barracks other fighters quickly became some of my favourite characters. There's much humour in this book, as the rough and ragged fighters try to teach the much more proper Olina to loosen up. Olina's journey continues to be fascinating- she's experiencing life without her veil for the first time, and as Frost, she has no responsibilities. It's her first taste of freedom. I just can't get enough of this girl! The romance takes a back seat for much of this book. But I did a lot of nail biting, with my heart thumping in my chest so that made up for it. And we do see some progress with Jovan and Olina (damn that slow burn is torturous!). But I loved every minute of it. The plot twist towards the end was unexpected and adds a whole new dimension to the story. I'm looking forward to seeing how that shakes things up yet again in the next book. Another A+ read from Ms St Clare!

Hold onto your seats for the next instalment of Kelly St Clare’s fabulous ‘Fantasy of Flight’. I was fortunate to obtain an advance copy of the newest book in the ‘Tainted Accords’ series. The high-octane action and intriguing romance has stepped up another notch. After enduring the death of her lover, Prince Kendrick and a kidnapping and heart-stopping journey through Oscala, our intrepid heroine, Olina finds herself in the Outer Rings of Glacium, where she has been taken into a fighting house. After enduring the death of her lover, Prince Kendrick and a kidnapping and heart-stopping journey through Oscala, our intrepid heroine, Olina finds herself in the Outer Rings of Glacium, where she has been taken into a fighting house. After abandoning her torn veil, she assumes a new persona as Frost, a feisty and talented fighter. She earns respect and displays new and surprising attributes while fighting for money and her life in illegal tournaments. While Olina searches for Kendrick’s murderer, she discovers her genetic links to Glacium, and encounters a new array of characters while becoming especially close to one. The lively and bawdy action and adventure in Glacium contrasts strongly with the prim and proper lifestyle of Osolis. We also learn that the Glacium-Osolis worlds and their bridging Oscala are more complex than first thought. You’ll cheer for Olina, or Frost as she meets adversity head-on. Removing her veil symbolically unmasks a stronger, more adventurous character, who isn’t afraid to lead and is open to understanding and appreciating the Glacium people and their culture. Olina is thrown into a difficult situation as war brews between the two worlds and she must decide her allegiances. If you enjoyed 'Fantasy of Frost', you’re guaranteed to love book two in this series. Book three is due out in early January, so I’ll be looking to see how Olina confronts the challenges that have reared their ugly heads in book two! Highly recommended!

I really liked the first book in this series, and this one was ok too, but I found the plot to be incredibly slow at points. I also tired of the heroine constantly being on the move. She was continually running from someone or something. I also think this book was supposed to have some romantic aspects, but I found them to be incredibly lacking. I will still move onto book 3 though. I also appreciate this being offered as a kindleunlimited.

Well first off can I just say, Wow! Well done, Ms. St. Clare! This is a great sequel! The universe the author created in book one was original and exciting and in book two we get more of that same refreshing scenery with just enough detail. She is forever challenging herself, pushing herself to her physical limits. I get the feeling we will see her do the same with her emotional side in the future. Can't wait! We also see a new side to King Jovan in this book. He is perhaps a lot more intense and sensitive than he can admit to in public, he must always be king first and it is difficult to see where the line is drawn between king and tatuma in regards to their relationship. As the reader I of course want to know more, but the story as it is told by Olina is just perfect. I am literally on the edge of my seat as I write this, I don't want to give anything away, so let me just say I am super excited for the next book!! I highly recommend this series to anyone who enjoys a well paced fantasy read with a gutsy heroine unlike anything else out there!! Brava!

4.5 stars While I still enjoyed book 2 of this series, I have to say some parts had me confused. I couldn't follow a lot of the fight scenes and found myself skimming over them to find out the end result the easy way. This is the reason for not giving a full five stars. Aside from that, the story takes off at a slow pace, similar to book 1, but once it takes hold (around 30%) it doesn't let go! I was glued to the last 70% for all of yesterday and now I have a major book hangover. The cliffhanger wasn't as WTF?! as the first book and I think I'd prefer to leave the story there and read 3 and 4 back to back. Can't wait :-)

Realms of Fantasy Although at times the story may seem convoluted, St Clare spins an intricate tale. Gah I loved this book! After I finished book 1 I kept thinking about this world and the series, I read another book afterwards and knew that after that I had to dive back into this series. The first book was good, but this book was even better! This book starts shortly after the end of book 1. At the end of book 1 Olina made a big decision, in this book we see how that pans out and her search to solve the mystery, while at the same time she finds new friends a place to belong. At the end of book 1 Olina made a big decision, in this book we see how that pans out and her search to solve the mystery, while at the same time she finds new friends a place to belong. There's a lot of character development in this book for Olina. It's hard to say a lot about this without spoiling the twists in book 1, but let's say that I really enjoyed seeing her find her way in this book. I like how she fights for what she believes in. I had thought we probably found out the answer to the mystery plot line in this book, but while there are some new things we learn about that in this book, we still don't know who was behind it. But I did like how that plot line progressed and there's an important piece we learn at the end of the book about which type of people might be behind it. There's a lot that happens in this book, I liked seeing where the story went. There are some great twists and reveals and I enjoyed every second of this book. While reading I often think of other books I want to read or what to read next, but when reading this book I had the revelation that I was reading exactly the book I wanted to. It was great! I had a hard time putting this book down and my lunch breaks often became a bit longer as I had to finish another chapter. I am not even fully sure what about this book it is that makes it such an addictive read, but as soon as I start reading I just want to keep reading and I want to know what happens next. The end of this book is a bit of a cliffhanger, but it does it's job of making me curious about book 3. I love reading about these worlds and the events that transpire there. In Fantasy of Flight we meet a whole bunch of new side characters. I did have some trouble keeping some of them apart, especially with all the snow and ice related names. But slowly we do get a feel of all of them and many of them have their own story and personality. I hope we get to see more of them later in this series. But I also was happy when we got to see some side characters from book one again as I've grow fond of those and we don't see them for part of this book. There's also a small side plot line involving a bit of a romance for Olina. I have to admit I wasn't quite sure about the romance at first, but it's slowly growing on me. And I do appreciate how he agrees with her decision at the end of the book. I am curious to see how their romance will develop in the next book. I did got a bit annoyed about Olina's decision to run away at one time, but at the same time it did feel in character. There's more about the worlds we learn in this book, including some big reveals. We mostly learn more about Glacium and the outer rings. There's also a bit of politics, but it's pretty limited, which works great in this book. The focus is more on Olina's story and what happens to her in this book. The ending is well done and sets things up for the next book and I can't wait to read what happens next. To summarize: this book was amazing! Book 1 was good, but this one was even better. There's a decision Olina makes at the end of the previous book and we see how that plays out here. I liked seeing her make new friends and how she developed in this book. I feel like this book is a very important one for Olina as a person. A lot happens and there are some nice twists and big revelations. Once I started reading I had a hard time putting the book down as I had to know what would happen next. I was completely enthralled with the story and it's been a long time a book captured my attention like this. I liked reading more about Olina. We also meet some new side characters and see more of already familiar side characters as well. There's also a bit of romance, I wasn't quite sure about the romance at first, but it's growing on me. The ending is a bit of a cliffhanger and I can't wait to read the next book and read what happens next!

I am so conflicted about this book. I loved Fantasy of Frost, the first book in this series, Fantasy of Flight, however, was not what I expected. While I enjoyed it, I can't say I loved it. It felt like an entire different story, different book, different everything, for, at least, half of the story. I was so disappointed because I didn't understand where the author was going with it. Our heroine, Olina, had to become a different person with her veil gone. That I understand. But then she stayed I am so conflicted about this book. Our heroine, Olina, had to become a different person with her veil gone. That I understand. But then she stayed away from the King and her entire life, for I don't know how many months. She didn't want to go back which made me sad because I loved her relationship with the delegation in the first book. I also wanted to see the romance with the king develop into something more serious. I did like the new characters introduced in this book, much like the delegation, they're a group of misfits that founded their own little family circle. But the entire thing just seemed all over the place. There are so many characters now, from different part of the book that don't know the same Olina, if that makes sense. Some know her as Tatuma/Olina, some as Frost and some as Willow. It just was a little frustrating to read. I did like the end of the book better. She goes back to the King and her old friends, even if they still don't who she really is, apart from the king. The romance does go a little further and I was happy, until Olina starts to pull away once again and that was honestly so annoying. I like her as a character, I think she grew a lot since the beginning of the first book and I like how strong, fierce and independent she became, but her reaction to some things were childish. Hopefully things will be better in the third book, more focused on the actual main characters and not all over the place like this one was. I still enjoyed it because even though it was confusing, the new character were endearing and I hope to see them again. I'm excited to see more of King Jovan and see how his relationship with Olina will develop. Finally, I hope Fantasy of Fire will answer some of the burning questions we have since the first book, I feel like nothing has been cleared up yet.

4 1/2 Stars! Awesome, this was so good. King Jovan and Olina have great chemistry. Olina is such a great heroine. She’s truly impressive. Just when I thought she couldn’t get any more awesome she just goes beyond and does it so effortlessly, no wonder the king is so attracted to her. I love the fact that she is able to make friends easily, with her past it’s a wonder she has any confidence in herself. Oh but she does, and boy did she kick some ass in this one! Truly amazing series, on to book 3! 4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/2 Stars! Awesome, this was so good. King Jovan and Olina have great chemistry. Olina is such a great heroine. She’s truly impressive. FANTASY OF FLIGHT picks up where FANTASY OF FROST left off. In the first book readers are introduced to the two distinct countries that make up Olina's world. There is the country of Solati which is hot and the country of Glacium which is cold. That is an oversimplified explanation, but readers will know the differences from the first book and I do not want to repeat them in this review. Throughout book one Olina wore a veil. She had never taken it off and had never even seen her own face. At the end of Book One she musters the courage to remove the veil and discovers the reason her mother kept Olina's face covered throughout her entire life. Olina has blue eyes. Why is this a big deal? Well, only people from Glacium have blue eyes and Olina is destined to rule Solati as the Tatum. Solati citizens would never follow a leader with blue eyes. Olina was being held in the palace of Glacium but escaped by removing her veil. Since no one knows about her blue eyes, exposing her face is the best way to blend in with Glacium's populace. While escaping she meets Alzona, the owner of a fighting compound, and follows her to her fortress. Olina plans to earn money by fighting for Alzona. Olina is searching for the source of the Seedyr wood arrows that killed Prince Kedrick; the man she loved. She needs to discover who killed him and why and she knew that she would never be able to achieve that goal while living at Glacium's palace. The descriptions of the other fighters and the friendships that develop are perfect. Olina as Frost is written with superb skill. I do not want to give away too much of the story, but suffice it to say that Kelly St. Clare has once again created a book that appeals to a wide range of readers. This is only her second novel, but the skill she demonstrates in storytelling will have readers believing she has been writing books for decades. Her characters are vivid and believable and readers cannot help but be drawn into the story. The setting is unique and the details of the two worlds bring them to life with a detail that is unlikely to be rivaled by any but the very best authors. The juxtaposition of the two world being almost exact opposites while being codependent on each other is an intriguing twist. There are just enough details to make these worlds come to life without being so detailed that the writing becomes mired down in descriptions. Olina is a strong female lead and she shows a maturity beyond her years, while at the same time still occasionally displaying the immaturity expected of a sheltered eighteen year old. The author has done a magnificent job of maintaining that delicate balance. Kelly St. Clare has quickly become one of my favorite authors and I am now a fan for life. I am looking forward to her next book. If you want to read a story that you will be unable to put down, FANTASY OF FLIGHT is that story. FANTASY OF FIRE - The third book in The Tainted Accords series is set to be released in January 2016 and I will be eagerly awaiting it's release. I rate this book as 5 out of 5 stars.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My advice: BUY THIS BOOK! You will not regret it! About The Author: Kelly is originally from New Zealand and now lives in Australia with her soon-to-be husband. Kelly's goal is to write books that she would want to read. If you read my review of book one in this series you know I found it to be confusing but that overall I liked the characters, the setup, and the direction it was going. Man do I have a crush on the domineering, overbearing, sweet and sexy king. This book was so great and although, once again, I wasn't a huge fan of the end (the very end was fine but the last 10 chapters...weak) I did add this series to my favorites list because I basically cannot WAIT for the next book and the series conclusion. #Heartpalpatations Book type: YA Fantasy Book rating: 4/5 Read time: 3 hours For more reviews check out my blog: www.booksandchai.com With love, parchment, and freshly mowed grass, Kendall

I listened to this book last week and have since finished the series. In order to ensure I don't give any unintentional spoilers I will keep this brief. Of all the books, I think this is my favorite. Our Olina is faced with desire, consumed by revenge, plagued by childish-ness, and brave. She is also a runner both mentally and physically. These qualities and flaws lead her down a troublesome road that earns her some fierce friends and dangerous enemies. Our Ice King gives me chills. Though the story is told from Olina point of view, I desperately wanted more of him. There is much more action in this book and action is my fav. The first book gives you a look at the palace and court life inside. Book 2 gives you a look at the real world of Glacium outside of the castle. Of course things are rougher is terrain but still a form of politics in dealing with the organized crimals. The narrator for this book did well. As more characters are added to a series it must be hard to keep things in order but she did a good job. Audible Books Listener Alexis :-)

There are great new developments and surprises to be had as this deliciously dark fantasy carries on to its nail biting cliff-hanger conclusion. I highly recommend this series to all epic fantasy and paranormal enthusiasts. I cannot wait to see what book three will bring!
