4.5 Well, Rina Kent just left one hell of an impression on me! This story isn't about your average new adult couple, and their romance isn't normal by any means. Prepare to clutch your pearls if you can't deal with sexual situations that aren't exactly consensual. *In other words, heed the content warning before going into this one!* Like it's stated in the title, Aiden King is one deviant motherfucker! He has no boundaries whatsoever, and his moral compass is broke as fuck. The things he did to Elsa were cruel, crazy, and 100 percent criminal on several occasions. Despite that, I wound up rooting for him in his quest to make Elsa his.  It makes no sense for me to feel that way, because she honestly needs a restraining order and a psychiatric evaluation. I do too though apparently, because I kept wanting her to give in to a lot of his demands pretty early on in the book! LOL At the same time, I wanted her to fight him and give him a taste of his own medicine, and she did that, too. I can't actually fault Elsa for any of her decisions, because Aiden has me just as fucked up as she is.  I couldn't get enough of Elsa and Aiden together! I literally read the entire book from start to finish in one sitting. The steamy scenes between the two of them were intense, twisted, and super hot! Their relationship is complicated from the start, and just when you think things are starting to make more sense, BAM! Rina Kent throws you a curve ball that knocks your ass out.  Aside from the romance, I loved the added mystery of Elsa not remembering her past due to experiencing a traumatic event in her childhood. Bits and pieces sneak through in flashbacks and dreams, and I was trying to piece everything together along with Elsa. I love it when the narrator is as in the dark as you are, and if you do too, then you'll definitely enjoy that aspect of the book.  Deviant King is the first book in a series, so be prepared for a cliffhanger ending. I got enough answers for me to not feel super frustrated by it, but it still left me reeling. I can't wait for the next installment, Steel Princess! Hopefully, we finally get some of Aiden's POV, because so far, the story has been in Elsa's entirely.  Side note: The side characters in the book intrigued me enough to want more of their stories. Fingers crossed they get books of their own in the future! I recommend Deviant King to fans of intense dark bully romance and slightly unhinged alphaholes.

Fantabulous! This was such an awesome bully romance. If you like this genre at all, then this is the book for you. The Hero is a huge jerk and a big bully and completely obsessed with the heroine Elsa Quinn. First he bullies her by turning the whole school against her on her first day, then later he bullies her into almost everything she does. She sees emptiness in his eyes, she knows he has something dark inside him. I had been waiting for this book. Not long ago I read Noble Savages that Fantabulous! Not long ago I read Noble Savages that included the book Cruel King. I love Bully Romance and Cruel King was one of the best I had read and was a step in a new direction for Rina Kent. I think all her Mafia/assassin series books are incredible. Cruel King was the story of Levi King and it included Levi’s cousin Adrian and this book is Adrian’s story. The way Levi talked about Adrian sounded like Adrian could be a sociopath. Elsa likes to stay in the background but is not afraid to stand up for herself, and while she is afraid of Aiden, she stands up for herself anyway. Though he seems to always see through her. He says she likes being forced into doing things she thinks she should have issues with, and she isn’t sure if he is right or if she just hates him. Maybe she thinks she should because he made her miserable for a long time. On her first day at Royal Elite School Elsa meets Kim, a girl who is sneaking around the edge of the crowd of students and she figures that Kim is a girl like her, who just wants to keep her head down and get through high school so she can get into a good college. They become immediate friends. Then she sees Aiden on the field with his friends. She meets his eyes and can’t look away. He then comes up to her and tells her that he will destroy her. Aiden is the king of the school and after that the majority of the student body treats her like trash. El and Aiden have daily glaring matches but other than that, they have no contact. He doesn’t outright bully her, but he also doesn’t do anything about it and since one word from him to the other students would stop it, she blames him for starting it and letting it go on. Things change on the first day of their senior year when he starts bullying her face to face. He wants her and she is putty in his hands. There are also a lot of secrets at play. Elsa is being raised by her aunt and uncle since her parents died when she was young. She doesn’t remember anything before she woke up in the hospital and doesn’t want to remember. Also, there is something going on with her friend Kim and Kim won’t talk about what it is, but it is the reason Kim has been an outcast even though she has known 90% of the students since middle school. Kim even lives right near Aiden and across the street from Aidens best friend Xander. The biggest mystery is Aiden himself. Why is he so dark? When Elsa calls him sick he doesn’t deny it, he knows he is different than other people. Elsa is curious to know what made him that way. She even wonders if he was abused as a child. I love how it is written, with all the mystery and we as readers don’t know the answers either. But as I stare up at Aiden’s punishing eyes, my earlier thoughts shrink behind my trembling, defective heart. He scares me. Call it instinct or an intuition, but something terrifying lurks behind that easy-going smile and football star image. “What did you just do?” His voice is calm and quiet with a slight huskiness. I hate in some books how when the reader knows what the secrets are and the people who have the secrets don’t tell them to each other, so everything is about huge misunderstandings or just the fact that the main character(s) don’t really know the motivation behind certain things the other one does. This book doesn’t do that. The reader is as in the dark about the secrets as the character(s) who don’t know. Another thing I like was that this was an erotic romance and boy was it spicy. I give it 5 peppers for hotness 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶! One thing I sometimes hate about high school romance is that they are too clean and a great number of high school students can be a bit dirty. If they were we wouldn’t have TV shows like Teen Mom or Young and Pregnant. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. To be honest, I am not really a huge fan of bully books, and the start of this one was a little rough for me. However, I like this author so I pushed through, and I am glad I did because I ended up getting sucked into the story and enjoying it a whole hell of a lot. The writing was great. It moved along at a good pace. The plot, although, far-fetched kept we turning the pages. There was a good cast of secondary characters, and I liked Elsa a lot.Aiden, on the other hand, was hard to warm up to. He is pretty much a "go to the police and get a restraining order..STAT" type of character. 👀 But I guess that was what the author was going for. Last, this one wraps up on a proper soap opera cliffhanger, and yours truly will be first in line to grab up book two when it become available. 👍👍 BLOG | FACEBOOK | TWITTER | PINTEREST | BOOKBUB

But being wanted by him is lethal." Aiden King (H): - 99.9% sure he's a sociopath. - wouldn't want to date him irl, but fictionally? hell yeah. - rich kid who's family rules the whole UK and probably the whole world. - rick kid who rules the whole school. - part of the 4 horsemen with his three little minions. - super duper possessive as hell, always going all like "she's mine", "stay away from her she's mine", "imma beat you up if you touch her" blah blah blah. even though i don't like this kind of alpha/possessive intensity from my H, this doesn't bother me as much and i actually liked it?? - kind of an evil genius. like, wouldn't be surprised if he's related to Elon Musk type of genius. - not a man ho. I REPEAT. NOT a man ho (thank god). - #1 kink: chocking Elsa Quinn (h): - Ice Princess - "Frozen" - not a doormat (thank you jesus). - fights back. - very protective and loyal to her best friend, Kimberly and i LOVE that. she always stands up for her and acts like a momma bear. - can't remember her childhood cuz of trauma. ________________________ have to admit, sometimes, i wasn't really convinced with the romance and the progression was a bit too fast for my liking considering their history but i get it. it's all part of the H's evil plan or whatever. and can we talk about Kimberly (h bff) and Xander's (H bff) history? i bet you they used to be childhood best friends but something happened so Xander became her "bully". im getting a Jared and Tate vibes and im all for that. i think im more intrigued with their relationship and story to be honest. but anyways, since this is a bully romance some things might annoy some people and there's definitely questionable and fucked up things ((choking as kink, a little bit of manhandling, inappropriate groping without consent) happening here buuut i guess it all depends on people's preferences and such. but i can't wait to read the next book (coming out Dec 12) cuz that cliffhanger!! omg nooo i need the next one right now!

This review is also based on Rina Kent’s other bully book in a boxset which was my favourite and the only one for me that had all the qualities I would expect in a possessive and obsessed hero. I read a few of them just to see if I could get into them but alas reverse harem (apart from Addison Cain’s Wren series) is really not for me, also these “strong heroine” are so not with their betraying body syndrome and their pathetic need for their men. Few bully stories have captured me but this author’s series is really pulling me in and honestly I really like her heroine’s because even though there is some betraying body moments they don’t let it control the brains that God gifted them with! Honestly I was beginning to give up on the bully genre because the reverse harem and cringe worthy female leads were just really annoying but I am so glad I gave this author a chance and I will definitely be looking out for her other books if her females are like two I have read so far in her Elite series! Best series this year for me!

Five deviant stars for Elsa and Aiden !!! This is the first book I've read by Rina Kent and I only have words of praise. I love everything in this book. From the beginning to the end. From the writing style, through characters to the storyline. But, you need to know a few things before you start reading this book. I love everything in this book. From the beginning to the end. From the writing style, through characters to the storyline. But, you need to know a few things before you start reading this book. "Deviant King" is a dark high school bully romance in full meaning of those words and it isn't the book for everyone's taste. Elsa is a female character who came to a new school wishing she had top marks so she could apply for Cambridge. But, you know what they say. One is our wish and the other is what we get. Her first day of school was living hell the moment when she met Aiden King, who promised her that he will destroy her. And that was happening for the two years but he wasn't the one who bullied her. That was his followers. And in the senior year, it came the time for Aiden to take this treatment in his hands and torment her on his own. Aiden is a male character for who you can be for sure that he isn't a prince on a white horse. He is the one who can make your life miserable if you resent it. Elsa and Aiden's relationship from the beginning isn't normal or healthy. Aiden has a hidden motive and that's the main reason why he makes Elsa's life a living hell. There were moments when I hated him so much because of everything he did to Elsa. But, there were also the moments when I loved him because of his attitude which has changed and he started protecting Elsa from everything and everyone. The end of the book destroyed me. I was like " And now what?". Just at the moment when the secrets started coming out, it was the end and I wanted to continue with reading. How do I suppose to wait until December 12th? Because I need the next book "Steel Princess" from the "Royal Elite" series right now!!! I also can't wait for the bonus scene which includes Aiden's point of view. If you're looking for a really dark and bully romance, this is the one you should read the next! Be prepared for unexpected! I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

“Aiden is a deviant. A dangerous deviant.” WARNING Aiden King is not a hero. He is a deviant alpha. He is unhinged. Fucked up. Has questionable morals. Pushes and pushes until people snap. Alright so I'm going to start by saying HEAD THE WARNING IN THE FRONT OF THIS BOOK! This is not for the faint of heart, not for the people who can't handle a seriously fuxed up hero and his quest to conquer the heroine. Aiden King has NO moral compass, it literally doesn't exist. He was dark as hell, very mysterious, and everything I crave in a bad boy. His book was....fuxing CRAZY. I ended up being on his side, rooting for him to get the girl, despite the horrible decision he made in order to ensure he got her. I have NO idea how that's possible because in real life i would be begging this girl to leave the fuxing country but I WANTED them together. I wanted this twisted king to get his queen. Rina Kent came as a TOTAL surprise to me. I fell in love with her writing in Cruel King and now it's been solidified with Deviant King. The moments between Aiden and Elsa were HOT, mysterious, dripping in angst. So many moments I was holding on to my kindle for dear life, begging for mercy. I love love loved this. Elsa's lack of memory added a new element and just when I got comfortable (or as comfortable as Aiden King could make me) Rina threw in the ULTIMATE curve ball. What a freaking cliffhanger. I can't wait for Steel Princess!!!!

I generally get turned off by high school bully stories as it’s been pretty repetitive and formulaic. BUT...This.was.intense.disturbing. From beginning to end. And oh so dirty. I could not stop turning the page - I’m sort of addicted. Even as the pace was a bit slow, it was suspenseful and mysterious granted very little revealed until the end. When just one look he is infatuated by the blonde bombshell Elsa Quinn. From day one Elsa has no idea what Aiden's problem is with her. Yet, she can see right through him. There is emptiness in his eyes. A look she is quite familiar with. Elsa is the type of girl who is always sitting in the back of the classroom, with her head down walking through the halls. But Aiden brings out the ice queen. She hates him with every fiber of her being, yet she can't get enough of him. Aiden is K I N G of the Royal Elite's. His soul dark as night. This man is cruel, unforgiving, relentless, possessive, and one sexy alpha that will have you hating him and wanting him at the same time. When it comes to Elsa, he's merciless in the way he treats her. He doesn't give up until he's ruined her and even then he keeps returning back. It's a sick, yet hot game of cat and mouse. “Be mine and you become the queen on my board.” He pauses and flicks his tongue to lick my lower lip. “Fight and you’ll remain a pawn.” The beauty of Elsa was that she wasn't a meek mouse, and even in those moments where she lost control she never once lost her spark and her strength. She never ran away in fear. She fought back with claws. This book was explosive, raw, and gripping from start to finish. Things start to take a turn, and it got intense. Rina Kent lures you in like a siren with her writing, and once your snared in her trap, there is no going back.

I was given an advance readers copy of this book and have decided to write a voluntary honest review. Ok first thing five amazing stars with this book because I freaken loved it!!! Now I have to say I have always been looking for someone to come close to my vicious and Aiden has done that. And I would say he definitely vicious but I need his POV first. So yes Aiden king is similar to vicious. Aiden has black heart he's very cruel, he definitely gives off triggery vibes. He has no limits or I was given an advance readers copy of this book and have decided to write a voluntary honest review. He has no limits or boundaries I think that best describes him. Now as for Elsa this girl has think skin and she dish it as good as she takes it. I love her sass, she's strong girl and I admire her for that. I can't wait to see what happens next I'm dying for next book.

Decent read. Hero is ott possessive.. my fav! Random things I noticed and stood out to me for some odd reason were Heroine walks/runs into people alot lol.. girlfriend needs to watch where shes going. She also walks in (unnoticed ofcourse)on others conversations. Book ends on cliffhanger.. I hope this couples story ends in the next book but I did see and maybe I’m mistaken that there may be 3 books to them. Please no! Lets move onto the next! I am intrigued by Kim and Xanders story.

5 OUT OF 5 "FROZEN" STARS ARC KINDLY PROVIDED FOR AN HONEST REVIEW. HOLYYYY HELL! What did I just read? A masterpiece that's what it was. A masterpiece that's what it was. Just when I thought Rina Kent couldn't get any better, she proves me wrong! 👏🖤 Deviant King is dark, gritty and absolutely spectacular. This book is f*cked up... so messed up that you actually like it. I definitely loved it! It ticked all the right boxes to what I love in a dark romance. ❤ ''But then again, one can’t play with the devil in his hell and pray not to burn. Aiden is a deviant. A dangerous deviant.'' Aiden and Elsa are the main leads. Right on point when Elsa steps foot into her new school she comes across Aiden who makes her first day hell and promises to destroy her. Without knowing anything, Elsa is left confused. 💥💔 ''He leans forward so his mouth hovers inches away from mine and growls. “I will destroy you.” Those words seal my fate.'' I enjoyed Elsa. She was a beautiful, bold and broken character. 😍💥 Something that made me love her. She wasn't a badass but she wasn't weak either, she's lovely and my heart went out to her. If there's anyone that can fix Aiden's black heart, it's her. 😭🖤 ''Aiden is darker than the usual bully, but he’s still a bully all the same... He wants my struggle. He wants my helplessness. My weakness.'' Aiden is a really complex character, you hate him throughout the book but it's not a BAD hate 😈😉 It's exactly the way Elsa feels. You can't help but be drawn to him. He's a mystery. A dark secret. There's many times I wanted to punch him for his actions but I can't help and swoon over him too. His character is the driving force of this story and is covered in deep layers... Not once do you see a vulnerable side of him which only makes the book even more exciting. 🙌❤ “Be mine and you become the queen on my board.” He pauses and flicks his tongue to lick my lower lip. “Fight and you’ll remain a pawn.” Final Thoughts: Rina Kent wrote this book amazingly! I want to know what goes on in her mind because she keeps serving us with greatness. What is it that makes this Aiden so dark? I guess we have to wait... This novel is a series that has more books coming soon. I read Levi's book and absolutely loved it. Aiden was even better, but this is not the end of him. There's more to come and my patience is running out. I'm HOOKED with this series and I can't wait for more! Oh em gee, y’all. This book gripped me and refused to let me go. And the only reason it got put down was because I had to be a responsible adult and go to work. I was curious about Aiden the moment we met him in the Nobles Savages box set, but I had no clue. And to be honest, I’m still thinking there’s a lot lurking that we’re unaware of. He’s here to take what’s his, destroy whatever’s in his way, and damn the consequences. From their first meeting, he’s honest about his intentions. I’ll give him that, even if there are definitely more nefarious things happening in the shadows of the plot. The ending ripped me up and left me bleeding. I was not prepared, at all, and I knew this wasn’t a stand-alone. Still battered over here, and will be until the next book comes out. Recommendation: This is a reread for sure. I guarantee there’s more than what meets the eye hidden here, and the more you read, the more you’ll discover.

This book was the strangest thing.... the writing was pretty bad, the characters were awful, and the plot was lazy BUT I COULDNT STOP READING. That has to count for something right? Bully by Penelope Ward The Four Horseman Series by Laura Thalassa Raw by Belle Aurora Dont get me wrong, I loved all of these and I can re-read them and versions like it over and over again. But it comes off as lazy when you spot the similarities. Sometimes it was so blatant that I would burst out laughing. Secondly... the writing... I'll leave one of my favorite quotes to make fun of and ill let you decide. "His name gets stuck in my throat like smoke.... He's like smoke.... Suffocating, slippery, and undecipherable." I think this author fancies herself a poet. She aint. These are high school kids, calm down with the adjectives. And the last thing ill say is.... The author actually did a good job of creating sexual chemistry even though it was SUPER PROBLEMATIC. The hero basically admits that hes sexually assaulting and harassing the heroine... and he gets away with it. BUT if you can turn off your feminist brain for a few hours, strap in for some soap opera level drama, you'll really enjoy it. Its easy reading. You dont have to think too hard and the twist thats about to come up is so predictable its funny. TLDR: A watered down guilty pleasure. You're not missing anything if you dont read it.. but if the bully genre tickles your fancy, you'll enjoy it. Safety: Safe for the most part. *Hero isnt a manwhore.. there MIGHT be ex drama but its undefined - Theres an OW thats possessive of H and causes distress to the h, but theres alot of details that we aren't getting. *Heroine is a virgin, cause duh *Sexual harassment, manipulation, humiliation done by hero to heroine *Super posessive and obsessive H *Betraying body h... but sometimes I didnt mind it *lots of push and pull. Both H and h pretend to be into other people to get the others attention. *Regular high school drama

5 holy shit stars!! Is this really happening?! I am in love with this book!!!! Ok so this book one of the “Royal Elite” series and ends with a hell of a cliffhanger. This promises to be a phenomenal series!!! First I read this was a bully romance and the first chapter seemed to rub me the wrong way. I like assholes but bullies... it seems to be a thin line. BUT this was so much freaking more!! Omg this book went right to the top, right into my favorite of all time category!! This is like a mix of 5 holy shit stars!! Is this really happening?! Omg this book went right to the top, right into my favorite of all time category!! This is like a mix of L.J. Shen’s Hotholes and some Amo Jones dark shit. This is amazing. I know it is a review so I should give you some type of summary but I am not gonna. I didn’t read the blurb before going in and I’m am super impressed. Ok there are so many characters I enjoyed. Well all of them played their parts well. There was a prequel included in a anthology but I did not read this so maybe I missed some. The only one I have no clue about or who he really is, is Adam. He just appeared one page and I had no relevance to who he was. I love the Elite squad, every one of those guys!! I enjoy Kim. I love the shit out of Aiden and Elsa. I had this nagging feeling about her aunt and uncle but my opinion has changed multiple times on them. Not only is this book about breaking down walls, fitting in, secrets and pasts, but it is hot and steamy too! Omg Aiden is off the chain. He’s only 18, I can’t imagine what he will be like in 10-15 years. Yes lord!! This book is not only a bully romance but a suspenseful little book too. So many twists I did not see coming and now I am barely holding on here waiting for answers!!!! I am a huge fan of Rina Kent already but this was different from her usual novels and I am obsessed. The writing is flawless and it flows effortlessly. She painted this beautiful picture and now I just want to move my ass to London and be apart of this entire story. GREAT job Rina this book is fucking wonderful!!! **I received this book as an ARC and in return gave my honest review**

I picked up this book on a whim. I was feeling an enemies-to-lovers/bully romance. I was told that this one kind of had some Vicious vibes to it. When I first started reading it, I was rolling my eyes HARDCORE. I was thinking that the female lead was annoying, the drama seemed juvenile, and the insults traded between the heroine and token mean girl were lame af. I was likely going to DNF this eventually. But I kept reading... And I'm GLAD I did! This book is like junk food. You know it's not that I picked up this book on a whim. I was feeling an enemies-to-lovers/bully romance. But I kept reading... And I'm GLAD I did! This book is like junk food. You know it's not that great, but it's delicious in the moment, so you keep eating more of it. That was this book for me. I was pleasantly surprised that this story is not focused solely on the romance. It has a mystery plot woven into the romance and my interest was peaked! So. PLOT: Our 18 year-old heroine, Elsa, has been attending Royal Elite School (RES) for two years. She and her bff, Kim, are the school's social outcasts despite both girls being super pretty and smart. RES has a group of four guys that are nicknamed....ready for it? THE FOUR HORSEMAN. They earned this nickname due to being sexy, rich, cool, and athletic. Oh yeah- and they can destroy your reputation and social status in a blink. One of the four guys, Aiden, hates Elsa. He has never outright teased her or bullied her, but Elsa knows he hates her guts and she doesn't know why. He's had it out for her since she first walked into the school 2 years ago. Elsa decides she isn't taking this shit lying down anymore. She gets in Aiden's face and instead of bullying her, Aiden basically decides he wants to claim Elsa as his girl. This confuses Elsa. She doesn't trust Aiden and lets him know if. This ensues a game of chicken...who will be the first to cave? This book has another big plot line going on, however. SLIGHT Spoliers under the cut:(view spoiler)[Elsa has been living with her business-owning aunt and uncle since her parents death during her childhood years. She has big gaps in her memory and has vivid nightmares that can cause night terrors. Elsa does not recall her parents or anything prior to their death. She actually prefers it that way. Aiden's mother also died when he was a child under mysterious circumstances. (hide spoiler)] These two storylines develop more and more as the book goes on. I am VERY curious to find out what happens since reaching the end of book 1. 4 stars! Book 2 is out in December.

tws: depiction of panic attacks and ocd, kind of dubious consent, bullying, fatphobia (uncontested) I didn't necessarily hate this, I just thought it was average and not worth a higher rating. I never typically give dark romance more than 3 stars in the first place, so this technically isn't negative for someone like me. I was curious about this book after seeing edits for the male character and hearing how dark he was, and this definitely delivered on that. It's still a surface-level, virginial new girl with a dark past falls for the villainous football player, but I feel like the hero is never redeemed (and isn't supposed to). A lot of this made me uncomfortable - the rape fantasy? Him being possessive and jealous over little things etc. - but I've learned I need to suspend belief if I want to enjoy dark romance in the first place. I'm definitely interested in the progression of the plot since the mystery behind the whole story is never resolved and it seems like there'll be a battle between the two characters in the sequel.

5 Frozen stars Oh my... Deviant King is hands down, one of the best bully romances I've read. I’m a big fan of bully romances and it’s not easy to please me when it comes to this trope, but Rina Kent has done a fantastic job. The storyline is captivating, the characters are intriguing (to say the least), and the twists are unexpected. She delivered everything I wanted. (Review To Come)
